About the operator

The farm-to-table café at Kleine Stadt Farm has been run by a team of five since September 2022. Regionality, seasonality and organic quality are important to us. Some of our vegetables grow here on the farm, as do our mushrooms, which we source from Hut & Stiel. We cook exclusively vegetarian and vegan dishes. We look forward to your visit!

Since 2012, numerous civil society initiatives have come together on the current site of the community farm at Naufahrtweg 14 in Vienna's 22nd district. They are involved in solidarity agriculture, participatory design of our living space, animal-assisted education as well as artistic, artisanal, ecological and social approaches.

In 2014, some of these initiatives founded the association "KLEINE STADT FARM - Verein zur Förderung des Gemeinwohls". Today, this association of around 20 organizations and cultural workers - with a total of around 500 participants - is the largest urban farming project in Austria.
